Akyaka, Turkey

Akyaka is set on a lovely sheltered sandy bay, with safe swimming in hot-tub warm water (well almost!) Fringed by palm trees, the beach has a wonderfully tropical feel, but the village of Akyaka itself is very much ‘traditional’ Turkey. Many houses here are built from pine in a distinctive octagonal design, with white washed walls and hand carved ceilings and balconies.
At one end of Akyaka’s bay, the azure Mediterranean is joined by the crystal waters of the River Azmak and along the banks you’ll find fish restaurants serving fresh river trout with a flavour that puts the farmed supermarket rainbows to shame. You can’t get way from the river in Akyaka, as where the current flows into the sea there’s also a jetty where alongside those boats busy fishing, others are dressed to take visitors round to the local bays and offshore islands.
Awaiting additional images.
Sightseeing & Activities
Akyaka is all about the sea so boat trips are the main distraction.
Coach Transfers
Dalaman Airport to Akyaka:
1 hour 15 minutes
Private Transfers
These holidays are quite rightly much quieter than our other resorts, so as we’d struggle to fill an airport coach, we’ll spoil all those travelling to Akyaka by including a private taxi transfer to and from the airport in the package price.
